Privacy Policy

Proof of Wealth (specie-proofofwealth.vercel.app) is operated by PaintedApp, LLC, 1327 SE Tacoma St #394, Portland, OR 97202, as part of Specie, a house of satirical painting. This policy says what we collect when you visit, ask a question or buy, what we do with it, and how to have it removed. Questions go to support@painted.app, and a person answers.

The short version

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no advertising pixels. We collect what it takes to make and deliver a canvas, and we never ask for a wallet address. We do not sell or share personal information, and we never put a buyer’s name on the public ledger.

What we collect

  • When you buy: your name, email, phone number and delivery address, entered on Stripe’s checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
  • When you set a Genesis plaque: the date you type. Our server uses it to look up a block height and a price, and keeps it only if you buy, in the order record.
  • When you write to us: whatever your email contains, in our mailbox.
  • When you visit: our host records the request in its logs (IP address, browser and the page asked for) for security and debugging.

How we use it

To take payment, number your copy, have it printed and delivered, send your receipt and tracking, answer your letters, and keep the records tax law asks of a seller. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build a profile of you.

Who processes it for us

  • Stripe (San Francisco, CA) takes payment and stores the order, including your delivery address.
  • Prodigi (Manchester, UK) prints and ships your canvas and receives your name, address, phone and email for delivery.
  • Vercel (San Francisco, CA) hosts the site and stores print files.
  • Resend (San Francisco, CA) sends the receipt email.
  • Claid.ai upscales the painting for print. It receives the image only, never anything about you.
  • mempool.space receives a timestamp when a plaque is set. It never receives anything about who asked.

Cookies and tracking

None. The site stores nothing in your browser and loads no script from any other company. Because nothing tracks you, there is nothing to opt out of, and a Global Privacy Control signal is honoured by default.

The public ledger

The ledger lists each copy sold by piece, edition number, size and date. It never shows a name, an email, a city or an amount paid.

How long we keep it

Order records stay at Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law require, which in the United States is generally seven years. Letters stay in our mailbox until you ask us to delete them. Host logs are kept for the host’s standard period and then discarded.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, except what the law requires us to keep for a completed sale. California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA, and residents of the EU and UK under the GDPR. Write to support@painted.app; we answer within 30 days and never charge for it.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the change is listed on the Legal notices page.
